The online training session for School Chess trainers across the country started under CIS ( Chess in School) scheme by the All India Chess Federation from today on 10 March. A total of 210 trainees from all over the country are participating in this trainer training session lasting three days for rated instructors and five days for unrated trainers.On an average, 30 trainees are placed in one class. Successful trainees will be conferred with the title of “trained chess instructor” by the federation after this training session. These sessions are being organized with the aim of training trained chess trainers across the country as part of a important decision of the federation to introduce “chess in schools” program at primary school level. Under this session, the rated players are being trained by Grandmaster Praveen Thipsay and International Master Sharad Tilak while the unrated players are being trained by Grandmaster Shriram Jha and International Master Dinesh Sharma.
30 Chess players from Bihar are also participating in this training program.
